About the firm

A Missouri accounting practice built for one industry

We work exclusively with licensed cannabis businesses and the companies that serve them. That focus is what makes the cost models, controls and tax positions specific rather than adapted from general practice.

Why we exist

Missouri's regulated market matured quickly, and the accounting profession did not keep pace with it. Operators in Kansas City, St. Louis, Springfield and Columbia were being served by generalist firms that treated a licensed dispensary like a retail store and a cultivation facility like a farm. Both assumptions cost real money under IRC Section 280E.

This practice was built the other way around: manufacturing-grade cost accounting first, tied to Metrc, with tax positions documented as they are taken rather than reconstructed at filing. That approach is the difference between a return that can be defended and one that cannot.

How we work

  • Fixed monthly fees, agreed in advance, with no hourly surprises
  • Inventory-first bookkeeping reconciled to track-and-trace every month
  • Written tax positions supported by contemporaneous documentation
  • Direct access to the person doing the work, not an account manager
  • Missouri-specific planning, including the Article XIV state deduction

Who we serve

Comprehensive and microbusiness dispensaries, cultivators, manufacturers, transporters, testing laboratories, and the ancillary companies that supply them — across Kansas City, St. Louis, Springfield, Columbia, Independence, Lee's Summit and communities statewide. Engagements run remotely on a fixed cadence, so location within Missouri is never a constraint.
